* May be [[activate]]d to see if a mine tile is flat or not (as long as you have at least 15 mining skill) and also [[slope]] levels on tile borders as with a [[shovel]] .

== Usage ==
* The pickaxe is used primarily for [[mining]], [[prospect|prospecting]], and [[analyse]].
* The mouse tooltip will show the slope of cave floors while [[active]] and with at least 15 [[mining]] skill. This information can still be found by examining the cave floor/edge without a pickaxe active.
* Used to remove reinforcement of [[Support beams]].
* It is rather effective as a [[weapon]] compared to other tools in the absence of a real weapon.
