A [[Settlement token|settlement token]] bank account only stores 5 items and any amount of coins. If item is a container like a backpack it has to be empty to be placed in your [[Settlement token]] bank account.
A [[personal merchant ]] can store items for sale that may not be stolen or taken by anyone other than the owner, as such it is considered secure storage.
You can also store some small items in a [[Bag of Keeping]], you will keep these items when you die. However Bag of Keepings are hard to get hold of.
