A '''[[Terrain:Steppe|steppe tile]]''' is a [[tile]] where only poor grass grows due to a dry climate and lack of irrigation. A  You can dig or pack steppe tile away. You can be converted into convert a [[Dirt tile|dirt]] and back to tile into a steppe tile by planting [[mixed grass]] botanized from other steppe tiles. Steppe spreads onto dirt tiles on its own also, but slower than [[grass]].
