It seems *A bandaged wound will heal at a rate of 5 damage per 20 minutes. *If the wound is bad or severe, there is a chance that a the bandage does not produce the 5 damage healing rate (in effect, it's no help at all). *A larger wound needs more rags to be healed or bandaged. This needs further testing, but the current thinking is as follows:

*A bandaged wound means you can't put another bandage on it unless you hurt yourself in the same spot again.
*A bandaged wound will not get any worse from bleeding (take more damage), but will instead slowly heal.
