* At least 50 Masonry is required to create as well as to continue building a Smelter.
* Only 20 kg of [[fuel]] is needed at a time, any more is unnecessary. QL of fuel does not seem to affect burning time.
* A Smelter will hold at most 100 uncombined ore.
* Loading requires a wagon.
