People really need to get some info on this. I've seen males "get it on" too. Any animals produced from breeding yet?-Mojo 09:22, 11 March 2009 (CDT)

There are many cases of successful breedings, but it'll take days (at least) before any of them give birth. - Dashiva 09:40, 11 March 2009 (CDT)
If seen guards mate too. Quite disturbing.-Mojo 10:40, 11 March 2009 (CDT)
You know you enjoyed it ;) --Klaa 18:16, 11 March 2009 (CDT)

The critters I have had breed, three deer, are still at the "11" three days after the breeding session. Anyone have the same issue? --Silverhammers 07:55, 12 March 2009 (CDT)

On deer I've bred for 7, 9, 9, 9 and 10. 3 Pigs bred for 9 each but there have been drops in their times. 1 has dropped to 8 24 hours or so after it was bred another has dropped to 8 after 2 days or so. So maybe times are like decay rates? --Lando
Looks like the number drops every 3 days or so --Lando 21:14, 17 March 2009 (CDT)
I was rather thinking it's real life days or wurm weeks (21 real life hours), but I always forget to check on the dog shortly before and shortly after the 24 hours mark when I bred them heh. --Ulviirala 10:40, 15 April 2009 (CDT)

My deer are still stuck at "11". I had these deer on deed, so I have moved them to a holding pen off deed. Hopefull this is the issue and my deer are not bugged.--Silverhammers 16:42, 13 March 2009 (CDT)

Afaik, it's just some left over code from the code he is using on the test server, he wanted to get some other changes onto the main server, so he had to disable the mount part, but apparently missed some. --Steffe 17:37, 13 March 2009 (CDT)

Had a pig lose pregnant status, loath to add it to the main page until confirmed by someone else.--Lando 21:33, 17 March 2009 (CDT)

Neighbour had a pig lose pregnant status too, figures it was because it didn't stay 'fat' from feeding. Any comments? --Maluraq

My pigs are skin and bones, can't keep them fed; however, only one has lost pregnant status. --Lando 09:35, 22 March 2009 (CDT)

Differing traits detected by skill level?

For some reason at 20 breeding skill, I can detect "it will fight fiercely", but not the fleeter movement stuff? Arvid 08:57, 11 August 2009 (CDT)

It is quite possible that it varies from character to character. Just record any more anomalies here and we'll see if the chart needs amending. I'll keep an eye out (17 breeding so I'll be there within a week or two). Added a heading to the issue. Othobrithol 11:20, 12 August 2009 (CDT).

Now at 21 breeding I can detect fleeter movement. Talked about this with my neighbour who has 30 breeding and she says the wiki is wrong. Arvid 00:47, 14 August 2009 (CDT)

I guessed at the earlier skill levels. Trait system was broke when I reached those lower levels so I couldn't see the traits back then. --Manny 15:58, 14 August 2009 (CDT)

Takes higher skill to see more than one trait?

I keep really detailed records of my herd, and have noticed that as I am gaining skill I only can see the highest "skilled trait" that I can currently see on a particular animal. IE Stark Flash had, up until today when I hit 23 skill, the Fleeter Movement trait. Today he reports only "Strong Body". Does it require higher skill to see 2+ traits? Othobrithol 10:21, 29 August 2009 (CDT)

I could see multiple traits at that level. I'm suspecting there's a new bug there --Manny 19:04, 29 August 2009 (CDT)
