Golden Valley (server)
Description
The realm of the Golden Valley is an interesting one, lying but an arm's reach from the main realm of Wurm. A world seemingly locked in stasis - in an eternal loop that completely wipes the land clean every now and then. All new souls entering the Wurm universe will appear within this tiny landscape, and are perfectly free to explore or colonize it as they choose. However, come with a friend, as the realm contains perils far greater than the mere search for food and water...
The server is the starting point for all free to play characters (see Basic account). The town that welcomes them with helping guides is called New Dawn.
Due to a mysterious pacifying force, PvP combat is disabled on this server. This force is rumoured to weaken the animal inhabitants of this realm.
Once you step through one of the many portals inhabiting this realm, beware - for you are unable to return. The decision to leave Golden Valley for greater adventure and opportunity is permanent.
Landscape
Compared to the true realm, the Golden Valley is astonishingly small - a mere sixteenth of the size of other continents in the Wurm universe. Due to its smaller size, animal and creature densities can get quite high, making travel hazardous and friends even more important!
Notes
- On Golden Valley, skills are limited to 20, even if you are a premium player
- Portals to the main servers are a one-way trip
- Maximum amount of items you can carry through the portals leading to other servers is 200
- Trees grow faster
- Players on Golden Valley cannot go unfaithful or unlawful
- Guard towers cannot be completed
- Traders on Golden Valley do not sell deeds or personal merchant contacts
