Description

An animal with eight legs, has a light red color to it. Also appears to be on fire.

• Clawing and biting attacks. Clawing as a primary attack.
• 8 tile eye sight (it will only attack you if you are less than 8 tiles away)
• Can bash walls.
• Can not swim.
• Slower than regular huge spiders.
• Produces meat and charcoal when butchered.

Fighting Tips

A full set of leather armor is the bare minimum for fighting Lava Spiders at lower Fighting levels.

Chain/Plate is more suitable when facing a spider or any other animal which bites.

Lava Spiders should generally not be attempted until over 20FS. This is dependent on skills such as weapon skill and shield skill as well as the quality of the equipment being used (armors and weapons).

Always attempt to gain optimum footing whenever possible. Fighting on a horse is an excellent way of doing this.
