Description
A brass tube the length of your underarm. It has a small hole in one end covered by glass, and a similar but larger one on the other end.
Spyglasses are given to premium players for 12+ consecutive premium months.
Usage
Spyglasses works like telescopes, allowing you to zoom your view in, increase your highlight distance and providing you with a distance measurement. This makes the spyglass useful for scouting the land, finding players or hunting targets, and measuring exact tile distances at archery. The maximum view range is 2000m (2km / 500 tiles).
Activate the spyglass then right click on a nearby object and select spy. A 30 second timer will begin while you scout the land, hitting Esc (stop) or moving will cancel the action.
All spyglasses are made out of brass, but they cannot be created or improved by players. They are non-droppable.
History
The spyglass is a special item which was originally given out at Christmas 2006 to premium players at Newtown and both of the main altars on the wild server. Due to the server crash in April 2007, they were lost but were given back after the reset as trinkets (regardless of whether you had one or not).
