It would be easier if you edited the link like this:

[[Rock Tile|Rock tile]]
Rock tile

That way you won't need to make a new page and redirect for everything. -Swedish Phoenix 07:45, October 9, 2007

No, it wouldn't, because capitalization is a bitch to remember; redirects are the standard wiki way and are no big deal. -Eep 05:14, 24 October 2007 (CDT)

Redirects

Please stop redirecting "Items:" pages. Those are for ingame help, not the main pages. --KaiH 17:09, 12 November 2009 (CST)

Better to redirect than to have blank! -Eep 23:26, 12 November 2009 (CST)
Better to fill in the blanks, formatting doesn't work well for ingame help --KaiH 07:27, 13 November 2009 (CST)
Feel free to do so when you have time. Again, vs. nothing there at all, it's better to have a redirect to the normal page until an in-Wurm page can be created. Incidentally, it's highly lame Wurm can't handle HTML formatting, which would remove the need to even HAVE separate redundant pages... Also, learn to do a correct signature with "~~~~" so your name is linked to your user page... Fixing yours...again...<eyeroll> -Eep 07:31, 13 November 2009 (CST)
No need to attack me. I appreciate your work on the Wiki :) It's just that "redirects" on "Item:" pages mostly become overseen by other people contributing to the Wiki. Yes, it's lame that HTML doesn't work - we have to live with it for now. And thanks for the tip for Signature, but it doesn't work for me sometimes :( (no idea why...) -KaiH 07:53, 13 November 2009 (CST)
I didn't attack (you'd know if I did--trust me). Your browser must not be saving tildas (~) or something correctly because this is a standard MediaWiki concept that's been around, oh, like, for as long as MediaWiki's been in existence. Make sure you do FOUR (4) tildas and hit "Show preview" to see if it actually works (if not, your browser or OS is doing something screwy and you might wanna Google it). Fixing your sig yet again... -Eep 08:04, 13 November 2009 (CST)
What an easy fix... Raw Signatures was checked in my preferences <rolleyes> -KaiH 08:39, 13 November 2009 (CST)

Sleep

It only takes 1 minute if you try to go to sleep off-deed. On deed it is instant, and if you have been fighting in the last 5 minutes it takes considerably more than 1 minute. Most people live on a deed, therefor for most people, going to sleep causes them to log off and leave the world instantly. I thought my wording was more accurate, but it's not a big deal I guess. Jup 16:27, 16 December 2009 (CST)

I never knew the time to go to sleep varied so the page should be updated accordingly. -Eep 21:55, 16 December 2009 (CST)

player pages in main space

I don't know why, but it is the wiki policy not to do this. See Special:Log for examples of pages deleted for this reason. -Thorgot 19:21, December 25, 2009

First, sign your posts with ~~~~. Second, I'm not putting player pages in "main space" but simply redirects to them. If/when a Wurm term conflicts with a player's name, it can be handled with a disambiguation page accordingly. -Eep 20:25, 25 December 2009 (CST)
Nearly all of the other player pages which have been deleted just redirected, as you are doing. -thorgot 20:30, 25 December 2009 (CST)
Why? No reason is not a policy other than that of oppression. Besides, I already explained how term conflicts can be handled. No biggie, yo. -Eep 20:33, 25 December 2009 (CST)
If you wish to take up the oppression of the GMs of your rights to decide the rules of the wiki, please take that up with them instead of spamming new pages. -thorgot 20:35, 25 December 2009 (CST)
Um, adding links is not spam, silly. Don't be a wanna-be griefing wiktator, eh? -Eep 20:36, 25 December 2009 (CST)
It has been a common rule for whatever reason to not create user pages in the main namespace. We all obey that rule and you should do. It's not up to you to decide on the wiki rules. Wintermute 01:30, 26 December 2009 (CST)
Common rule where? I've never seen this "rule" and it's not on WurmPedia:Style either. Do you blindly and mindlessly follow rules without understanding them? Only a lemming does that. Are you a lemming, Wintermute (and Thorgot)? <blink> Again, it's no big deal unless the player's name conflicts with a game term, in which case it's easily handled with a disambiguation page. I see no reason to change this common wiki "rule" either. Get over it already. -Eep 04:15, 26 December 2009 (CST)
