To create an iron lump you'll need 20 kg of iron ore and a heat source ( could be a forge,Stone oven or a Camp Fire). You must put the iron ore into the heat source and wait till its glowing from heat.Once the iron ore is glowing from heat it will turn into a 1kg iron lump.
