Description

A tool for mining.

Note

A pickaxe is a tool with a metal head attached perpendicular to the handle, used primarily for mining. It is rather effective as a weapon compared to other tools, but should be disregarded once the player has access to proper weaponry.

Note that there are 3 versions of the pickaxe: the wooden 'newbie' pickaxe which cannot be improved but does not drop upon death, the normal iron version which can be improved and the Crude pickaxe which can be created with a pickaxe head made of stone.

On failure, the shaft is destroyed and the lump used is reduced in weight by 0.20kg.

Unstable Build 2.7.0-2286 (6th Jan 2010), pickaxes will show the current slope up or down in the same manner of shovels. Unknown skill required.

Needed 15 shovel skill before I could see slope with pickaxe equiped. 20:25, 22 November 2011 (UTC)
