There are 3 places in Wurm where you can store items safely, without much risk about them being stolen.
Large Chest - Requires a Large padlock and a key. Just don't lose the key.
Small Chest - Requires a Small padlock and a key. Just don't lose the key.
A Settlement token bank - Stores up to 5 items.
