Method

1. Equip the plank and right click the small nails, and select Create/Decoration/Small sign.
2. Equip the shaft and right click the unfinished small sign, and select Continue.

Improvements

1. Equip a log from your inventory.
2. Right click on the small sign and select Improve

Note: The log needs to be of higher quality than the small sign to increase the quality.

1. There are also times when you need a pelt, carving knife, iron file, or a mallet to improve the item.

Usage

A small sign is useful to give messages to people. The higher the quality, the more you can write on the sign, at a ratio of 1 character per 1QL, so if you have a quality 10 sign, you can write up to 10 characters, including spaces. To write on the sign it must be in your inventory. Then right click it and select Rename. Enter whatever shall be written on the sign. After this you can plant the sign. Just stand where you want to have it and right click, then select Plant. If the sign doesn't point in the right direction after planting, right click it, then select "Turn item clockwise" or "Turn item counterclockwise" but remember that everybody can turn a sign.
