Introduction
Building a house is a player's first step in developing his life and character in Wurm Online. A house enables players to settle down and secure their items from other players. It also provides shelter in case you need to hide from enemies or other players. This guide will cover the basics of building a house and will teach some additional tips and tricks. Let's start off with the prerequisites to building a house.
Prerequisites
Prior to starting a house, you will need to make sure a few things are in order. Nobody likes running into a wall or stalling their work. We're starting from scratch in this tutorial so in order to follow this guide, you will need at least:
- A hatchet
- A saw
- A carving knife
- A steel and flint
- Level 5 carpentry skill
Preparing for the construction
We have our basics ready now. It is time to make an important tool that you will use often in the game. A mallet. Making a mallet is easy if you follow these steps:
Gathering materials We will need to chop down a tree. Activate your hatchet from your inventory and right-click a tree. Select the Chop Down option. Do this as much times as necessary until the tree is felled and drops to the ground.
