A trap works on [[player]] enemies only. Players from a different [[kingdom]] or a hostile [[village]] may fall victim to a trap. There are ways to detect traps. The chance of creation depends on the [[quality]] of the nail used, and is lost upon failed creation. A trap does work with [[KoS]] set on [[freedom]] server, and the a trap does not have to be inside the village to be triggered. A trap can be triggered in an area by using certain items (see [[Skills:Traps]]) on a [[ground tile]] and selecting "[[Disarm]]". The damaging factor seems to be heavily reliant on [[quality]].

Traps are devices which can be hidden on various types of ground tile, after which they can cause damage or other effects to players who step on them. Only players from an enemy kingdom or a hostile village may fall victim to a trap; neutral or ally players do not trigger them. Traps do work on the Freedom server, but only against players who are on the village KOS list of the player who placed it.

Traps can be disarmed by activating a variety of tools and items, then right clicking on a tile and choosing 'disarm'. Note that if successful the item used will be destroyed, so it is best to use something expendable like a log.

You can detect traps by having the spell Sixth Sense cast upon you. Blacklighters have a natural ability to detect traps without such a spell. When a nearby trap is sensed in this manner you are given a warning in the event window.

The chance to successfully place a trap is determined by your traps skill.
