Slows the horse a moderate amount.
Chain Barding takes up more space in a forge than the armor chains that are used to make it.
Will not fit inside an empty backpack.
At a chain armour smithing of 19.47, with a 22.31 QL large anvil, you have a 6% success chance to create.

Test (25.06.13): Without Chain Barding 26.64 km/h, with Chain Barding 20.8 km/h. Barding quality was 50.45 (not sure if important or not).
