Description
A felled tree is primarily used for making logs, wooden palisade gates, palisades, keel sections and masts. The quality of the felled tree depends on the woodcutting skill of the chopper as well as the quality of the axe that was used to cut it down. Older trees (except shrivelled ones) produce a larger felled tree than younger trees. The trees which produce the heaviest felled tree are birch, cedar, maple, oak, pine, and willow.
To produce the heaviest possible (186.67kg) felled tree and thus the most usable wood, it is best to wait until the tree has reached very old age. You can use a hatchet, axe, or one of about two dozen other items to chop down a tree. One notable exception is saws.
Method
- Equip an axe, right-click a tree and select Cut down.
