Tritus' Cloth Tailoring Guide

Cloth Tailoring is not a difficult skill to level up, at least not in the first 30 points or so and is vital to making sails, which is more or less pointless before 25 and not easy even then.

  1. acquire Cotton
  2. activate wooden spindle, right click Cotton, Create->string of cloth (continue until you have no cotton left)
  3. take 75% (lowest QL) of your Strings of Cloth and, working from lowest QL to highest, Combine them to make 0.3kg strings.
  4. take those to a Floor loom
  5. starting with the lowest QL strings and working to the highest, activate String of Cloth, right click Floor Loom, Create->square piece of cloth (continue until that 75% is used up)

  1. starting with lowest QL square, activate needle, right click Square, Create->Armor->Cloth glove
  2. using needle, scissors and your lowest QL strings from the remaining 25% of your strings of cloth, Improve the glove until it is around QL 10 or is Finished.
  3. repeat until you have no cloth left

Notes

  • Starting with 50kg cotton you should end up with approximately: 7.5 Cloth Tailoring skill, 15kg string and 60% chance to make string
  • When your skill level is around 10-15 you will find that it is faster to make several cloth gloves and improve them all until they are a couple of points higher than your skill level.
    • For pure skillgain you can continue on cloth gloves to any desired skill level. Just make sure your tools QL at least match your skill.

  • Past 25 skill you barely gain skill for spindling cotton to string of cloth, so better use a high QL spindle enchanted with WOA.
  • Check with Triangular sail for quality and chance details for sails.
