Main / Tools / Beginners Tools
New players are granted a set of mostly low quality starter items. All of the items except the backpack, pottery bowl and rope are categorized as deathkept items at death. This means they will stay with you when you respawn after death if and only if they are in your inventory or equipped when you die. If you drop a starter item and later die, you will not have that item with you when you respawn. It will remain where you dropped it. The backpack, pottery bowl, rope and any non-starter items you acquire and have in your inventory or equipped at the time you die will remain with your corpse.
Starter items may not be improved.
